Inergen
Inergen is a gas-based fire extinguishing system meant to ensure fire security for archive, datacenter or similar environments where valuable and sensitive documentation, objects or devices are being stored, the destruction of which representsa major economical and business loss.
The MFC.2 company has decided to equip its premises with Inergen system, so that it can provide its customers with complete documentation or data security both in physical form (classical archive) and digital form (digital archive).
The Inergen gas mixture is comprised of 40 % argon, 52% nitrogen and 8% carbon dioxyde, elements that can be found in air. The extinguishing is based on oxygen concentration reduction to 12%-15%. It enables for quick fire extinguishing while at the same time not presenting any risk to people, documentation or equipment. Because it is based on natural gases, the Inergen system does not have any negative effect on the environment and it does not destroy the ozone layer.
